Accessibility

We're committed to making our website accessible to everyone.

Last updated: December 10, 2024

Our commitment

Chanmax is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to guarantee we provide equal access to all users.

Accessibility standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone. The guidelines cover three levels of accessibility: A, AA, and AAA. We have chosen Level AA as our target.

WCAG 2.1 is based on four principles that ensure web content is:

  • Perceivable: Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.
  • Operable: User interface components and navigation must be operable.
  • Understandable: Information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable.
  • Robust: Content must be robust enough to be interpreted by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.

What we're doing

To help us ensure our website is accessible, we have taken the following measures:

  • Using semantic HTML to ensure proper document structure
  • Providing alternative text for images
  • Ensuring sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Making all functionality available from a keyboard
  • Providing clear and consistent navigation
  • Using descriptive link text
  • Ensuring forms have proper labels and instructions
  • Testing with screen readers and other assistive technologies
  • Regularly reviewing and updating our accessibility practices

Assistive technologies

Our website is designed to be compatible with assistive technologies, including screen readers, screen magnifiers, and speech recognition software. We test our website with popular assistive technologies to ensure compatibility and a positive user experience.

Known limitations

While we strive to ensure accessibility across our entire website, some areas may not yet be fully optimized. Known limitations include:

  • Some third-party content or embedded elements may not meet all accessibility standards
  • Older PDF documents may not be fully accessible
  • Some interactive features may have limited accessibility on certain devices

We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility throughout our website.
